Introducing Witch hunter Wilhelm von Homburg aka the Mountain Scorge

I love going trough people's bits. There are always gems you never expect. That is why now and then I buy bits boxes etc from places like Ebay or Vinted. I try not to spend to much on it 10/15€ should cover it.

Recently I bought this little fella, a classic Mordheim Witch hunter. Minus some weapons.

The Stirland Piper

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor sigmar cometGreetings one and all,

It has taken me longer then expected to write my next little article.  Real life is a b*tch, with plans changing and time consumed.  My priority in the hobby world is painting, followed by gaming, and in last instance blogging.  So sorry folks; I don't know if I'll be able to do a weekly post or rather a more irregular interval for now. (probably the later)

But on to the business of the day, my Stirland Piper.  It all started with me deciding to have a hobby night with my friend Koen.  With a little less time and lots to talk about I decided to go for cutting and gluing rather then painting.  So on to the bitz box and the quest for the next cool new project.

I see a lot of people (including my self) converting a fantasy model to a 40k theme, but i rarely see it the other way around.  So we had a theme; converting a 40k model for Mordheim ...  One of the models in my collection was the imperial commissar and with some bits and pieces, form my Empire projects I soon had the start of a piper.

My focus for Mordheim is in "the men of the ostermark" but with a Piper; I could not let the opportunity go to include the pied piper story.  So my new hero had to come form some other then Ostermark, visiting Mordheim to clean it's streets.  Stirlands seemd to be the best place to start my expancion.

To complete the job I made a dramatis personae for the model here

Introducing K1t 487

Greetz one and all,

today I’m introducing a model I made last year, or rather in the last few years :)  It's one of those figurines you know has a lot of potential, but for some reason you just can't seem to drag it out.  I've worked on it several times but never got around to finishing the deal.

The model; is an old Rackham AT-45 walker (don't know the name).  I alway's wanted to turn it in to some kind of non combat thing a sort of npc so to say.

the paintjob: Hmmm, it's been a while, ... if I remember correct I used a lot of layers (bone and white colors)  some transfers for detailing and washes.  Sorry next time I'll try to write things down.

The rules:  The rules included here are for Shadow Wars Armageddon, but I'm considering using him in Necromunda as well :)

ohhh, and the scenario :)

Wip Week X

Greetings once again,

It has been some time, but I'll try to keep up with weekly updates. Let's hope I can keep it up :)

Well what have I been up to?  I've been following The independent characters for some time now and I've entered in there Hobby progress challenge.
If there ever was a gaming group/site/... I had to say I was a fan of these guy's would be it :)

Anyhow it got me to painting a new lot of blood angels, and up until now I got 2 5 man units done and 2 characters.  Not all that bad for a few weeks time.

I'm now planning on painting some assault veterans and an apothocary

Well that's it for now.  I'm planning on making more progress in the following week(s)
But for now I'll leave you with one more link for inspiration, it has been for me :)
There will be blood angels [Warseer]

Arch angels Wip

Greetz one and all,

I've made some progress with my arch angels the first tactical terminators are done (quite some time ago) and more recently with my lightning claws and librarian.

The librarian was part of millest challenge, with some other great competitors in the challenge.  I personally love the ultra marine by Chris for its conversion, and the 2 old school models for there painting. Go check it out :)

Cheers
Griffit

Arch angel update

Greets one and all,

I did some more work on my entry to millest terminator challenge

I still need to update the base a bit, and want to magnetise the base as I don't want to include this base in my actual army.  Also I still have to drill the bolter barrels and other small things.

Further more I did some work on the terminators of my tactical squad, also need barrels drilled and bases need to be made etc.  But for now I see this as objective reached :)

Last but not least I made some progress on my inq28/Iten bad guys :)

Cheers
Guido

Wip October

Greetz one and all,

With the release of Dark Vengeance I've also started working on some Dark Angels.  It's way to much work to shave off all the dark Angel Emblems from the models and by the way they look cool the way they are.  To finish my argument I don't have a City Fighting force yet ;o)
Now that I have eased my concionse I can also admit to the fact that it's just cool to think about some extra convertions and it gives me the possibility to convert the same model twice without it beeing to obviouse.  Today's model is the first in the line of seconds. A few weeks ago I introduced Amitiel Commander at arms a convercion using the Sicarius from the previous edition 40k, well now I'm using him as a librarian in terminator armour. And what is more I'm planning of making him in power armour, with bike and with jumppack.  But on the the work on the terminator thus far...

As said I'm using the Black Reach Sicarius model or the torso atleast and a Chaos terminator legs and torso.  I've done some extensive shaving to make it fit but managed to fit it in.  I'm glad with the look but I must admid it looks a bit off, i think this is due to the fact that the model was not made to fit terminator armour.

For the arms I picked normal terminator arms for the right with a Grey knights staff and grey knight arm for the left.  (Initially I used a power fist, and it looks cooler, but is not available for librarians)

The candles are done with tooth picks and greenstuffrodds using this tutorial.

some other details in Green stuff here and there and this guy is ready for the paint desk :)

Wip blood angel razorback

Greetz one and all, ...

A few years ago I adapted my rhinos so they would fit the Armageddon theme.  Simply slapping on the vindicator top gave the right impression.  It made the Rhino a bit more techy and the ventilation was needed for the deserts of Armageddon ;o)  But now; all this time later I wanted to add a Razorback to my army; and what's even more I'd like to add 2.  And simply gluing one together wasn't going to do the trick.  So I started making my own top addition to get the right feeling.

I want to get the second one done in the same pattern, and even make it a bit better.  I'm thinking of asking my friend Dirk the jeweler to make a 3D scan of this one, edit it to perfection and print it with his 3d printer...  Let's see how that works out in a few months.
