Wip Week X
Greetings once again,
It has been some time, but I'll try to keep up with weekly updates. Let's hope I can keep it up :)
Well what have I been up to? I've been following The independent characters for some time now and I've entered in there Hobby progress challenge.
If there ever was a gaming group/site/... I had to say I was a fan of these guy's would be it :)
Anyhow it got me to painting a new lot of blood angels, and up until now I got 2 5 man units done and 2 characters. Not all that bad for a few weeks time.
I'm now planning on painting some assault veterans and an apothocary
Well that's it for now. I'm planning on making more progress in the following week(s)
But for now I'll leave you with one more link for inspiration, it has been for me :)
There will be blood angels [Warseer]

Arch angels Wip
Greetz one and all,
I've made some progress with my arch angels the first tactical terminators are done (quite some time ago) and more recently with my lightning claws and librarian.
The librarian was part of millest challenge, with some other great competitors in the challenge. I personally love the ultra marine by Chris for its conversion, and the 2 old school models for there painting. Go check it out :)
Cheers

Arch angel update
Greets one and all,
I did some more work on my entry to millest terminator challenge
I still need to update the base a bit, and want to magnetise the base as I don't want to include this base in my actual army. Also I still have to drill the bolter barrels and other small things.
Further more I did some work on the terminators of my tactical squad, also need barrels drilled and bases need to be made etc. But for now I see this as objective reached :)

WIP Grey Knight Paladins Commission
Greetz one and all,
This week's WIP is actually something that's for a friend of mine who wanted some cool looking Paladins and wanted to use the Dark Angel Knights bits. I suggested using Grey Knight back pieces.
In the end there are still some Dark Angel icons to fix, I guess filling the gap in the broken sword should do the trick.
More progress on my own terminators has been made as well, but more on that later :o)

Wip January
Greetings one and all,
In the past month I've been up to a lot of stuff, an nothing all at once. I've almost finished my Rouge Trader for ItEn, worked some more on my grav car, and started working on my Archangels army.
The Archangels are the Blood Angels first company and my new 40k project. Don't worry I'm not blowing off my ItEn stuff (although there is a chance I'll be using other rule sets as well). As a matter of fact I’ve just joined the Ammobunker forum and it’s filled with cool Inq28 stuff, and I’ve created a pinterest account to gather all the cool idea’s I see on the net. I’ll make a link on the side bar for that later on.
But back to my Archangels; as a lot of you probably did, I bought a box of dark vengeance. I was planning on painting what was inside, just the way it was supposed to be. A rather amities goal for me, not that I thought it was to hard to paint, but not converting all those models; now that’s a challenge.
And it seems I’ve lost that challenge. Didn’t get the green I wanted to get, in the way I wanted to get it. So out with the Dark Angels, but what now with the models… I found someone that could use the tacticals, leaving me with bikes and terminators. So this year I’ll gather all my terminators and start painting them. As it turns out I’ve got quite a few more then I would have guessed :o)
Anyway, here are the first results; 2 apothecarys and 4 assault terminators. They’r not done yet, but there is progress :o)

WIP November
Greetz one and all,As usual there has been way to little hobby time in the last few week, well actually I've been using my hobby time as it was intended (I get a lot of painting time in after 23.00h) ... Sleeping ;o)
But I did manage to get some convertion work done here and there and started painting my next Iten model.
Unfortunatley my fantasy projects are on hold for the moment; but on hold does not mean forgotten ;o)
first up my Mechanicus Agent (I've got no idea of name; type or stats for now; but we'll see)
The white parts have to be re-done to black and the add-ons on the boots are goint metal (bronze)
Next some convertion work on the Dark Vengeance Librarian. Going the other way around as October's Wip I've now brought a Dark Angel to my Blood Angel collection :o)
Wip October
Greetz one and all,
With the release of Dark Vengeance I've also started working on some Dark Angels. It's way to much work to shave off all the dark Angel Emblems from the models and by the way they look cool the way they are. To finish my argument I don't have a City Fighting force yet ;o)
Now that I have eased my concionse I can also admit to the fact that it's just cool to think about some extra convertions and it gives me the possibility to convert the same model twice without it beeing to obviouse. Today's model is the first in the line of seconds. A few weeks ago I introduced Amitiel Commander at arms a convercion using the Sicarius from the previous edition 40k, well now I'm using him as a librarian in terminator armour. And what is more I'm planning of making him in power armour, with bike and with jumppack. But on the the work on the terminator thus far...
As said I'm using the Black Reach Sicarius model or the torso atleast and a Chaos terminator legs and torso. I've done some extensive shaving to make it fit but managed to fit it in. I'm glad with the look but I must admid it looks a bit off, i think this is due to the fact that the model was not made to fit terminator armour.
For the arms I picked normal terminator arms for the right with a Grey knights staff and grey knight arm for the left. (Initially I used a power fist, and it looks cooler, but is not available for librarians)
The candles are done with tooth picks and greenstuffrodds using this tutorial.
some other details in Green stuff here and there and this guy is ready for the paint desk :)

Wip blood angel razorback
Greetz one and all, ...
A few years ago I adapted my rhinos so they would fit the Armageddon theme. Simply slapping on the vindicator top gave the right impression. It made the Rhino a bit more techy and the ventilation was needed for the deserts of Armageddon ;o) But now; all this time later I wanted to add a Razorback to my army; and what's even more I'd like to add 2. And simply gluing one together wasn't going to do the trick. So I started making my own top addition to get the right feeling.
I want to get the second one done in the same pattern, and even make it a bit better. I'm thinking of asking my friend Dirk the jeweler to make a 3D scan of this one, edit it to perfection and print it with his 3d printer... Let's see how that works out in a few months.

WIP Amitiel (AoBR Sicarius conversion)
Greetz one and all,
With "Dark Vengeance" on the horizon I thought it was time to get some models from AoBr done
Last year I got the dreadnought done for "war of iron". And when one of the local guys asked me to trade off my captain, I got to thinking of my own conversion. (I ve got a few laying around ;)
The most important challenge I got from this conversion is/was the banner. I've been thinking about a 3d banner for quite some time now. In the end I made the banner in plastic card, made a mold, casted it with brown stuff. Got some wrinkle in there and then fixed it to the banner pole.

WIP july 6th
greetz one and all,
It's been a while since I posted another update.
And to be honest I lost track of what the mission of this blog was.
To keep the painting process going. So there is no White Dwarf review
this month, and I'm not doing a Black Box Revelation about project Pandora or
the 6th edition rulebook. Instead I'm posting some pictures of my WIP
Storm Talon for my Ordo Xenos Death Watch marines (probably allies for my Blood
Angels, and a good excuse to paint all those great kits they can't fit in to
there army list ;o)
There is still a lot of
work, I didn't touch the wings yet but I'm quite satisfied about the body.
The red is as a campaign color and makes blending with my Blood Angels a
bit easier.
Next up are the wings; maybe incorporate a bit more red here and there
and then there is still the GGPC; but more on that next week (I hope)

The men get a new destination
Greetz one and all,
Some of you might remember my ostermark models from a few years ago. I had this brilliant idea of making me a new army ... Unfortunately it didn't succeed and ended up on the dust shelf.
Well now, a few guys at the goblins started a mordheim "campaign" and gave me the perfect excuse to adapt my existing models and think about some new ones here and there :-)
And so the strory re-starts. I've already seen that most of the models are not quite what I'll need in Mordheim (halberdiers are not the chissel I think) But the haflins are in, as are some of the great swords. My lord is an option for later on, and the dwarfs are good to go (although they count as regular humans in the gang) Except for a (I think Middenheimer) Human gang; I'll try and do a witch hunter gang aswell (have a box of flaglants laying around and a converted Witch hunter ready to go)
But let's have a look at some WiP pictures shall we ...

Wip April 25
Greetz one and all,
These are busy times indeed. I'm trying to get my paint schedule back on track, and with some minor success. But success indeed. More painting means less gaming unfortunately :-(
Today's wip is actually 1 model cut
in 3. These are the parts from a member of the Death corps of Krieg quartermaster retinue I just didn't like the original setup of the model way to
large for my taste; but all individual parts are great, and completely my kind
of model. So after some chopping ...
I've actually got one model done already but I'll leave that for next weeks post :op
