Introducing Witch hunter Wilhelm von Homburg aka the Mountain Scorge

I love going trough people's bits. There are always gems you never expect. That is why now and then I buy bits boxes etc from places like Ebay or Vinted. I try not to spend to much on it 10/15€ should cover it.

Recently I bought this little fella, a classic Mordheim Witch hunter. Minus some weapons.

Ploughing trough my own bits box I found some bits that could make him true to his original concept.  

But perhaps a gunslinger would work aswell ...

Both concepts stayed rather true to the original silhouette, and lacked a bit of sparkle. It was just the same "jhon the Witch Hunter" but with other gear ...

First up was the decision to completely remove the arms. So the option with the same gear updated from the wizard kit was going out the window.

Guns where cool and all but the idea of a different silhouette started singing louder ...

So I decided to make the wire frame. Drilling trough the model so if I decided to go for the guns pinning would be easy

Old metal is tough, half an hour an 3 drill bits later I got trough to him. Resistance is futile.

The Chaos bits box spawned some gloved hands and we where off for the new pose.

A last bit of inspiration (and some left over greenstuff) made me put on some hair and a new persona was born.

I'm quite fond of the work so far and am happy to add him to my collection.

If you thought you recognised the man at the start of the post ... It was pointed out that my mini had a slight resemblance to Vigo for The Ghostbusters II ... unfortunately he already had some paint otherwise I would have included a more orangy colour scheme.  Ps; the actor portraying Vigo is called ... Wilhelm von Homburg ... what a coincidence

Introducing Wilhem von Homburg, aka the Mountain Scorge.

As a witch hunter in the league of Ostermark Wilhem is most active on the borders roaming Eirie Downs and the world edge mountains.  His travels even brought him to the forests of Sylvania on an occasion.

Wilhelm the mountain scourge is responsible for the trail of many witches and abominations and has a real distaste for all the things meddling with the afterlife.

Inspiring leader: any warrior within 6” of the Wilhelm may use his Leadership value when taking Leadership tests

The dead must rest: Wilhelm hates all undead (bitter enemy)

Rating: Wilhelm von Homburg increases the warband’s rating with + 40
